She is also a certified volunteer for the American Cancer Society’s Reach to Recovery program, as she is a cancer survivor. She hopes to convey that she has no special skills, no background in farming, not much time, and only a tiny lot that is not conducive to gardening, but even she can grow something fresh and nutritious to eat.
